MISSION

HISTORY:
The Federal women's Program Manager's Council was established to enhance employment and advancement opportunities for women in the Federal workplace.
 
Accordingly, the program seeks:
1. To eradicate every from of sex discrimination from personnel policies, procecures, practices, and working conditions;
2.  To utilize to the fullest extent possible the present skills of women in the workforce;
3.  To ensure equal opportunity for women to enhnace their skills through career counseling, on-the-job training, work study programs, and other training measures in order that they perform at their highest potential and advance in accordance with their abilities.

OBJECTIVES

The Phoenix Federal Women's Program Interagency Council (FWPIC) is located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.  The Phoenix FWPIC is a subcommittee to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Commitee of the Phoenix Federal Execuitve Association (FEA).

Objectives of the Interagency Council are as follows:

1.  To exchange ideas and information among Federal Women's Program (FWP) Managers

2.  To further advancement of women and men within Federal agencies.

3.  To provide a quality approved training seminar to federal employees annually.

4.  To provide scholarships to assist federal employees in their pursuit of education and advancement.

5.  To provide mutual support to each other.

6.  To annually acknowledge and honor extraordinary federal employees for their commitment to the mission of the Council.

7.  To endorse and support the Phoenix FEA and its members.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

-ON GOING TEDDY BEAR DRIVE:
        We provide new and gently used Teddy Bears to the   Children's Hospital and shelters
 
-Provide Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets to needy families
 
-Every month we provide water to the homeless
 
-Provide assistance to People to People Student Ambassador Program
 
-Provide assistance to non-profit organizations
